Planned Maintenance .......

Generally, January and February will be set aside for planned maintenance of your yacht. The schedule and nature of the work will be agreed between our surveyor and the captain who will jointly supervise the program in the designated yard.

A budget for work will be agreed and submitted to the fractional owners. Each stage of the planned maintenance will be signed off by the captain and the surveyor.

Some of the work will be based on hours run; the manufacturer's schedules for the engines and generators for instance. Other work is on an 'as required' basis but will generally involve lifting the boat out of the water for the hull to be cleaned and anti-fouled. At this time any replacement anodes or hull fittings will be inspected and replaced. Depending on classification an independent surveyor may inspect the vessel for the MCA or the Insurers, or both.

During this period any cosmetic work on hull, superstructure or interior will be carried by specialist contractors. All work is documented in a service log and photographed for historical records.
