Choosing a Home Port location

There are limited berths available for vessels over 40M, slightly more choice for 30-40M and generally good but limited availability for 26-30M. Anything over 30M commands a premium rental.

In our experience use of a superyacht is greatly increased if flight access is less than three hours from the UK. This covers most of the desirable areas in the western Mediteranean; principally the south of France, the east coast of Spain and the Balearic islands. Ibiza and Palma Mallorca are still the busiest charter destinations achieving ten to fourteen weeks a year. Permanent superyacht berths in Ibiza are very limited over 30M.

In the eastern Mediteranean Croatia and the new Port Montenegro are the places attracting the superyachts in 2012. Both feature stunning cruising grounds and superyacht support infrastructure.

In choosing a home port balance accessibility against charter income and maybe overcrowding in July and August.....Use the form on the right to build our database of preferred locations.
